Howdy. Jim, Chris & I went to the rodeo on Saturday. One of my coworkers gave us a couple tickets. I was a little worried whether I would like it, or if all the ropin' and wrasslin' and stompin' would freak me out. Mostly I liked it :) it was a gorgeous day, and Chris & I both got sunburnt. I liked to see all the horses, and it was cool when the steers kept getting away from the cowboys trying to jump on them/knock them down/rope them/sit on them. We all had a really good time, tho, and I think I'd even be willing to go back sometime.
Oh, and I need a horse. So, y'know, if anyone's feeling generous or whatever...
Had to work on the news desk yesterday to make up for a day I swapped when I went to San Diego. (speaking of, there are some more new pics online). Since it was the weekend, the community desk was empty, so I had that whole section of the newsroom to myself. I got to play my music, and watch what I wanted on TV (NOT basketball!), and not listen to anyone complaining about anything. It was cool :) ...got to put my feet up on my desk, too. In the morning, I took the doggy to the doggy park, and we had fun. Except I think he may have peed on some guy's leg (the guy was leaning on the fence that Brody was peeing on). I pretended like I didn't know whose dog it was and wandered away for awhile.... :-)
No big plans for this week, I don't think. With yesterday, I'm working 6 days, but I have a 3-day weekend, so it'll make up for it. Got our taxes all filed last week. We used Turbo Tax online, and it was very easy & cool. I think I like it even better than using the software, cuz i spent a few days on it & worked on it whenever i wanted - at work, and on the laptop, and on Jim's computer- very useful.
OK, now dog wants to go for our morning walk. I better go before he pees on me.
