Apparently it's been 10 years since I graduated high school. I *guess* it makes sense, since a lot has happened since then:
Went to school in Boise, moved to Phoenix, graduated college, got cats & dogs, got married, had a bunch of cool jobs, moved to Oregon, ran a half-marathon. All that stuff takes time, right?
So 10 years isn't really so long, I 'spose.
I was excited to hear about Meridian's 10-year reunion (btw Jessi- you're officially on their “missing” list), since I spent so much of my time with the MHS kids. But I did technically gradute from Eagle High, so I was scratching my head, wondering when I would hear about that reunion.
I watched my summer calendar rapidly fill up (No, I can't come visit you this summer- sorry, I'm booked!), and was kinda sad that I probably wouldn't make it to the Eagle reunion, whenever it would be.
I dug a little further & found out that nobody was planning an EHS reunion; all the “senior class officer” people who are supposed to do it were missing; and a lot of other people wanted a reunion, too - and they would be happy to help me plan it! Um, Me?
OK, why not? I don't have any upcoming baby showers to plan, so I hafta occupy myself with something, right?
So, I'm planning the Eagle reunion. And since I already have a weekend planned in Idaho for the MHS reunion, I'm making the EHS reunion the same weekend. (Ah, the liberties of being the organizer!) I'm working with a girl from high school who I knew, but we never hung out. Lindsay Davis (now Hopkins) lives in Boise, so she's doing all the groundwork there.
I'm helping organize and working to find all those scattered classmates. You can see my silly little website here: www.EagleHigh98.com.
Got ideas for fun reunion-type stuff for a couple of last-minute planners? On the calendar so far (but with very few details filled in): A dinner at Eagle Hills Golf Course, and a BBQ at Eagle Island State Park.
Wish me luck!
