This weekend, I'm going to Vancouver, BC, to run a half-marathon. I'm really excited & it'll be a great accomplishment.
But the next weekend, I'm going to Idaho to spend Mother's Day with my mom, grandma and mother-in-law. I'm really excited about that! While there, I'm doing an even more important race: The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to support breast cancer research.
How important is funding that research? My beautiful Gramma was diagnosed with breast cancer, underwent radiation treatment, and continued living her vibrant life - twice! To me, that treatment is priceless.
And it's proving priceless once again, as Jim's mom now is undergoing radiation treatment to fight breast cancer. This disease keeps hitting home, but we can help fight it.
