Took Brody on a walk first thing this morning. We had a good time. Lots of dogs were barking at him today. They're just jealous cuz Brody gets to go on walks and they're stuck in their backyard's all the time. They bark, but Brody doesn't pay attention. He's a good boy. Even tho he stole a piece of French bread off of the counter last night. He walked right past me, and I could see this hunk of bread in his mouth. So I stopped him & scolded him & tried to get him to spit it out, but he wouldn't. So I let him go & he continued to his blanky in the bedroom where he takes all his renegade stolen foodstuffs. He's not really very sneaky.
Chris & I are going to LA tomorrow! Wish Jim could come. We always all have such a good time. :( We'll have fun anyway, tho (but not too much fun, Jim!). I burned a bunch of CDs for the car ride. And downloaded some comedy stuff- David Sedaris & Steve Martin, etc. and made a CD of those. Makes me miss our old stereo that could read MP3s & we would make good traveling CDs with 100+ songs. Sigh. But we're taking Chris's car anyway, so we'd be stuck with regular 'ole CDs anyway. I haven't purchased the new Rufus CD yet, so I don't have to subject Chris to it. Not sure he'll be so lucky on the way home.
We plan to leave at 8 a.m. tomorrow, arriving about 1 or 2. Probably go to lunch with Rachel, maybe go to the ocean & hang out on the pier or something. No plans for most of the time. Sunday afternoon we're going to see Rufus Wainright for FREE! And Monday Chris & I are going to Universal Studios for FREE! Chris is going to try to disguise himself as Jim Allen so he can use Jim's annual pass. We'll hope it works! :)
Work is kind of nuts today. Lots of people sick and on vacation. We have a total of 2 rimmers (basic copy editor) and 1 slot (final copy editor). Which is nuts. But we seem to be scraping by so far. Fridays are always busy because we have to finish the issues for Saturday and Monday, since Community Desk doesn't work on the weekends. So it could get hectic soon. Soooooo, I guess I should get back to work now!
