There's been a big hole in our floor for several days. Supposedly stairs will be there soon. Nobody's fallen in, but the cat came a little too close for comfort. So far so so good.
Had a bunch of days off this week, burning vacation time where I can fit it in, and celebrating Jim's birthday (except I did actually have to work on that day). Sent out Christmas cards, forgot to put return address on half of them (heh, whoops. email me if you want our address. sigh...). The orange den is turning into a very comfy little room. Went and saw the movie 'Sideways' and liked it, mostly. Nice just to be home & spend time with Jim.
Yesterday we helped out at the Extravaganza to celebrate 2 years of my friends' public access TV show. They rented an auditorium & had sponsors bring food & treats & print signs & fliers, and we produced 2 episodes of the show live on stage in front of the audience. It was fun! I got to floor direct both times, which I like (so I'll be on TV a bit. ooh ahhh). Jim set up & untangled & rolled up miles of cable. We ate some good food, met some interesting people, had a good time. Afterward we went to a litte party at the producer's house- she's got a great old house and fun friends.
After that, we met my coworkers at a funky place we hadn't been to before, but really liked it. We've now got a 10 p.m. deadline on Saturdays (instead of the usual 12ish), so everyone was done with work really early, which was nice. Usually if we go out after work, we get kicked out soonafter we get there. Last night we got to stay a long time, and many more people showed up because it wasn't so late. So that was really fun. We had a good day.
It's not foggy out. Isn't that weird? OK, off to walk the puppy dog. Have a good Sunday!
