Bothell birds

I drove myself to Seattle yesterday, leaving Jim & the doggy at home this time. I haven't driven a long distance in a really long time, bt it wasn't so bad. The entire state of Washington was one big giant fog cloud, but I could see enough & I made good time. Yesterday was Jessi's birthday... she's all old 'n 25 now. We hooked up with Joe & went to an impressive Thai restaurant on Queen Ann. It was Jessi's birthday, so she had 2 desserts & the employees sang to her. Afterward we went to buy 'Garden State' and then went to Joe's place to open birthday/Christmas presents!

Jessi got me the world's softest scarf, but it's very black, so it will have to live in my car or at work to avoid the wrath of Brody fur. And she also got me... (drumroll please)... silk pants! So I can wear them under my jeans & be nice & warm. Cuz lately I've been annoyed that I can pile on 18 layers of sweaters to keep my body warm, but just one measly pair of pants for my poor cold legs. Now I'll be fully warm. Hmm... People msut be concerned for my warmness this year- I got several pairs of fuzzy socks, several scarves, a jacket, some big fluffy socks and a space heater for my desk at work! Now I can survive the winter :)

Joe, however, got me the coolest gift ever (as he's been promising for the past month). It's a very nice wooden cribbage board, with the board opening up to this nice big box to hold the pegs and the cards. On the top of the board is engraved “Bored Stoe Board”  (Stoe being, of course, the historical combination of STeff and jOE). And on the inside of the board? It says, “Dear Steff, Huh huh, you said His Nobs. Love, Joe.”   Best. Gift. Ever. :-D

Now I just woke up on Jessi & Jerry's couch, and when I put on my glasses, the first thing I saw through their entire wall 'o windows were a dozen little flitty birds (pinesiscans, I'm told. th o I doubt that's how it's spelled...) hopping around the bird feeders, a little angry that they were mostly empty. It's drizzly and gray outside, but that doesn't bother the silly little birds. Jerry now refilled the feeders, so they're mostly happy now, except they keep fighting over perches on the feeder. Silly birds are endless entertainment.

Now we're going to have french toast and pomegranates for breakfast. Yum. Bye!

I'm being held at Stef-point, forced to comment on a blog about my coolest present ever. It is cool. I almost kept it for myself, except its all engraved "To Steff" and stuff.

Thanks for the CRAP and F*CK stamps... they are neat. :)
