Nothing's unpacked, which makes me wonder why we have all this junk anyway, if we can live a week without it... (I mentioned that to Jim, so he asked if we could sell all my books. Hmmm, no.)
They'll get unpacked. In the meantime, everything's going well. Dog & cat are both very happy & curious & comfortable with the new place. Mozart is fascinated with the basement; Brody spends much of his time sleeping on the front stoop (the *entire* front stoop). He & I have been taking much longer walks. Up & down the neighborhood, being nosy about all the cute houses. We walk to Bush Park, which is an incredible place, and Brody has been familiarizing himself with squirrels (every freakin' squirrel). Today we swung by Dunkin' Donuts and brought home breakfast :-)
I start a wheelthrowing class this week at a studio down the street. I'm excited! I'm also working for the public access station on a tv production for a Statesman-Journal sponsored event, so that should be interesting. Oh, I'm also on two task forces at work- the one to redesign our Web site, and one with the marketing dept. to figure out how the classifieds section & web site can compete with Craiglist and its ilk. Fun, eh? I love that I get to be so involved with things; I never had opportunities like this at the Republic.
I love our new house :-)
