Here it is 1:30, and I'm sitting around in my pajamas. I've been sleeping in very very late the past few days for some reason. I even got up at 10:30 this morning, then went back to bed. Hmmm.
Brody is outside sitting under the big tree, barking up at squirrels. Probably trying to stay out of the rain, too. He learned the joys of barking this week from his friend Zula. She came to stay with us while her owners were out of town. Brody had stayed with them the week before. He'll be staying with them next week, too, while we're in Phoenix. She's a pretty nice pointer-sorta doggy. Very wonderful & fun except for the barking at everything thing and chasing the cat. Mozart spent the week on top of the refrigerator. She is definitely happy that Zula went home last night.
Yesterday we also lost another house guest. My coworker, brian, had been staying with us for a week because the main pipe under his house burst, filling his yard with water and cutting off running water to the house. It got fixed yesterday, tho. It all happened about 3 days after his 1 year new-home warranty expired. D'oh!
Jim's been working in Portland the past couple of days, so it's just me and the cat in here, who is joyfully romping around the house without fear of being chased up the fridge.
Did I blog about the Idaho trip? It was great. Saw lots of family and friends and hit lots of good places (Pronto Pup, the tour train, a cool coffee shop in the old church in downtown Eagle) and some not-so-good, yet interesting places (Homedale bowling alley diner, the Kit Kat Club, Shopko). Visited Grampa's grave, hung out with the kiddies at their new place in Homedale and rode dirt bikes (!), waited for a little doggy to give birth (not until after we left), toured mom's work (sad little pound puppies!), had dinner at gramma's, went to cousin Jeff's wedding (took Tour Train from church to reception), did Mongolian BBQ (mmmm), oh, and TCBY too (mmmmm), tried to see horses, rode around in the truck a lot, saw a Hastings in the field behind my Meridian house (psssh. a few years too late). Had a really good time :-)
OK, off to try to be a little productive before work. Have a great day!
