Brody & I met his doppleganger today! It was crazy- we were at the dog park, and I started to walk toward Brody, but realized that there were 2 Brodys... I was very confused. This dog was just a tiny bit taller than Brody, and his head was a tad more angular & his tail not *quite* as fluffy, but otherwise they looked like twins. It was so weird. We were with Brody's friend Zula, and even she kept getting confused. I would've taken a picture, but I got a new cell phone, and it doesn't have a camera. D'oh! His owner said he was a lab/wolf-hybrid mix. Woa. His name was Polaris. It was the most incredible thing...
Chris was here this week. We went to Silver Falls and hiked around a lot & found my new favorite water fall. It's really wide & you can walk behind it & look out & it just feels like you're behind a giant wall of water. Speaking of, I just finished The Mermaid Chair and didn't like it much, not nearly as good as her other book, Secret Life of Bees. Anywho, when Chris was here we also went to a little farm & picked strawberries & raspberries. Yummm! We almost made ourselves sick in the raspberry field :-) Saw Batman Begins & actually sorta liked it. Watched Anchorman, again. Hee.
Jim & Chris are in Idaho now. They got into a little tussle with a Honda Accord at a truck stop. Apparently the driver of the car couldn't see the gigantic truck behind him & just kept backing up, straight into Jim's shiny new bumper. Awww. :( Not a good way to start a trip.
I found a maybe-trampoline on craigslist.... the guy's gonna call me back soon & tell me if it's what I'm looking for. I hope so! (the other one just didn't work out, but I want one while it's still warm & jumpable outside!)
When I got home from work last night, Brody was all weird & panicky from fireworks. Awww. So he's over at Beth's tonight to hang out with Zula & hopefully not be scared. I'm going to go over there during my dinner break tomorrow for a little 4th of July bbq. It's no Homedale Derby, but should be fun anyway :-)
K, gonna get ready for work. Bye fer now!
