Got the blues

Just got back from the Wednesday market & bought some blueberries. They are surprisingly super delicious! Yum!

A girl also walked by & said that God loves me & handed me a bag of candy. The card attached to it said, “This is our simple way of saying that God loves you. Let us know if we can be of more assistance.”  I'm not sure what I need assistance with, but if I need to contact them, they didn't leave a phone number.

I was reaffirmed in my belief that it's nice to work at a small paper in a small town, because while we were at the market, I ran into Sonja, the publisher. Also ran into & chatted with John, the productions director. Probably two of the “most important” type people at the paper, and it's cool that not only do I run into them on regular basis around town, but they know who I am and are happy to stop to talk with me. Much different from Phoenix :)

In Phoenix they didn't (and I am sure still don't) make eye contact with you in the newsroom.

Actually, the Statesman that got sold was my old paper in Boise. My new Salem Statesman is now the only Gannett paper in the Northwest!

Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering what Ralph was talking about. Curt was telling me that the Detroit papers did a switch. Whichever one is owned by Gannett traded with the other. How weird is that?
