This weekend, my friends Beth & Lori were obsessed with picking fruit. I skipped their strawberry expedition (45 pounds each!!) but joined them Saturday afternoon for picking blueberries. And boy did I pick blueberries (not nearly 45 pounds, tho). They're soooo yummy. Every year I wait expectantly for the nummy rare little fruits to show up at the farmers' market (Saturday was the first day of their season), and then I happily pay up for those tiny little baskets. But I got a pitcher-full of berries for $2.95. And I've been eating them nonstop. I expect my skin to turn blue pretty soon. I froze most of them, expecting them to go bad before I devour them. But at the rate I'm going, they won't stay in the freezer for long. They're good on cereal and yogurt and pancakes and oatmeal and by the handful morning, noon and night. They may, for the moment, be my favorite fruit, even above apples and strawberries. Weird.
Other things:

The Watermelon Ride is Sunday. 50 miles. I think we're ready, come wind or sun or hills.
