5 'o clock and it's already dark

Raked leaves today, carved my pumpkin this week, turned up the thermostat and turned back the clocks. Guess summer's officially done. D'oh.    On the plus side, tho, I got to buy Halloween candy today. Mmmm. On the downside: We'll probably actually have trick-or-treaters at this house, so we'll have to give away the candy this year. Hmmm.

We were in Seattle last week & had fun with joe & jessie & jerry & flint. Met Jessi's kitten, Molly. Very cute. Got my bridesmaid dress for their wedding. Very pretty. Saw Wallace & Gromit! Got to take Brody with us on the trip, too, which was fun.

This weekend was my first weekend at home that I didn't have to work. It's been awesome so far. :-) Repotted a bunch of my plants today, hoping they start thriving. The cactuses are withering in the Oregon darkness, and the leafy plants are withering from the Calvin chewiness.

OK, I'm going to go eat a caramel-apple sucker before some brats in cute costumes come take my candy away from me tomorrow :)

Oooooohhh, I love those suckers! Send me one. Our trick-or-treaters (if we have any) are getting dum-dums and peanut butter cups. Whatever is leftover is going to work.
Oh, and I hate turning back the clocks. Such a silly thing. Now it is super dark and it is only 6:30 p.m. Oh well.
Happy Halloween!

You could do what I do - leave the lights off and hide in the back of the house. Of course, you'll be accused as a sex offender, but at least you get to keep your candy.
