Almost home!

Our offer for the house was accepted today! Yay! So exciting & a big relief. :-)

There's still some little hurdles before it becomes a done deal, but we hope to close on it by the end of December. Here are some photos that Jim took today. They're not labeled, so ask if you don't understand what you're looking at in some of them. The mantle shelf on the fireplace is obviously missing. So if you happen to run across a vintage 1914 badass mantle at your local antique junkyard, let us know ;-)

In other happy news, we're leaving for Phoenix tomorrow! Yay! Hello, Gramma & Vern, & Lindy & Carolyn! Hello, Shuffleboard! Hello, Rachel! Hello, Sunshine. Hello, Mr & Mrs Jessie & Kevin. Hello Dad & Jenny. Hello Birthday Girl Riley. Hello Greg's Boat, Hello Chris's truck, Hello all those fun Arizona people, and most of all... Hello, Haji Baba!  Mmmmmm.     I haven't made any plans with any of you Arizona friendtypes... so gimme a call on my cell & we'll see if we can't get together. We're in Yuma Thursday & Friday, and doing wedding stuff Friday & Saturday, but we'll be in town Tuesday.

In sad news, I have to leave my pets at home. Sigh.

In even sadder news, I have to get up at like 5:30 a.m. tomorrow. SIGH!

In happier news, Brody gets to stay with Zula and Wally. In other happier news, he'll be shedding all over somebody else's house instead of ours for a few days. bwahahahaha. (Beth, Michael, I hope you're not reading this...)

Everybody have a great Thanksgiving!

The final idea I wanted to tell you all about is something that my husband and I came up with last year when we didn\'t want to spend a lot of money on each other, but still wanted to make the other person feel special. The best thing about this idea is that it can be done for almost any budget, and really is not limited to Christmas at all-- really Valentine\'s Day would be perfect. We try to give a gift for each of the five senses. Now really, if you think too hard about this, every gift on the planet could...
