I got a new car yesterday! Well, y'know, new to me.
Here it is:

It's a 1993 Acura Legend. With a LOT of miles. Lots & lots. But it runs well & was a good deal, and it's got leather seats! And they're heated! And it's green! And it goes Vroom (despite its automatic transmission) And it's got .... (drumroll) .... a moonroof! Finally! I have a car that opens from the top. 'Bout time.

I'd been doing fine without a car all year- just me & my bike & sometimes Jim's truck. But with the rain (and the fact that work now makes us park the bikes outside in it), and the sick pup, and Jim going to Idaho for a week again, and finding this awesome car, we figured it was New Car Time.
I'll still ride my bike to work, but it's nice to have an option, too.
Speaking of bikes, Jim & I went on our first Salem Bike Club ride yesterday morning. It was pretty chilly, but spandex does a suprisingly nice job of keeping you warm :-) We rode way south to Kuebler, and then straight down the big Kuebler hill, but with a sharp turn at the bottom before we had to go UP the gigantic, psychotic, crazy Kuebler hill (y'know, people who've been to the old old house, the one that feels like a roller coaster?), then a wonderful downhill curvy ride through Croissant Creek Road, which was quiet, calm & gorgeous like a forest. It was great. Stopped at Wild Pear for drinks & snacks, then a nice flat ride up River Road & back home. We had a great time. I did fall over once, tho. I was just standing there, too, with one foot clipped into the pedal, and plop. On the ground. At an intersection with drivers staring. Heh. It didn't hurt. But I woke up this morning with the nastiest looking bruise I've ever had. Gross.
Since I'm doing pics, here is Jessi's new house!

Cute, huh? And here's their fireplace, with a painting that their friend made them as a wedding gift, which just happens to fit & match the new place perfectly:
