-The floors are finished! And they're gorgeous & we're all yay yay! You want pics? Maybe later ;-P Our 90-year-old house smells brand new. I guess it's all those icky chemical fumes that people love so much :-)
-And we got our cord of wood stacked today! We have to get a screen for the fireplace, but I think we found a cool copper one that we'll get.
-And we figured out how to fix the walls! After the super scraping they received from us removing wallpaper etc., they were marred with scratch marks. But today we sanded one portion and put a very very thin layer of joint compound on it, and it works like a champ, as Jim says. Smooth & perfect. Now we just have to do the entire downstairs (ugh), and it'll be ready for paint (hey- that gives us more time to deliberate on colors and continue not making a decision. sweet!).
-We played football today, and for the first time I wasn't the only girl to show up! Beth, Zoe and her new roommate, Jennifer, also were there. Our team (Jim, Beth, Scott & I; plus Zoe later) totally won. It was a gorgeous day & lots of fun. Afterward we went to the Ram and I had bottomless strawberry lemonade and a dirtcup (chocolate shake with gummy worms & Oreo crumbs. Mmm!).
