hello
i'm really tired but writing anyway cuz i haven't written in awhile (hmmm, since twosday).
just got back from tucson. not a bad drive at all. and the weather was really nice down there. not too hot & it was breezy. ann's wedding was nice. the ceremony was outside in this beautiful little courtyard. hung out with some friends from the republic during the reception & met some folks from Portland & from Germany at our table. the portland people sounded like they were from the portland chamber of commerce, telling us all the reasons we should move there, and to give 'em a call when we do. lol :)
got some really cute shoes today for $11.99 to go with my square dance dress & also with the new dress i also bought this morning for $13.50. it was from dillard's clearance center, and one of the straps was kind of loose, so jim sewed it back on for me :) i'd show you a picture, but our digital camera suddenly stopped working about 30 minutes before the wedding! grr & d'oh!!
i hope i'm not the only one wearing a big square dance dress tomorrow. that would be sad & embarassing. i'll do it either way, but still. that would suck. sigh.
oh, my new dress is black with kind of a velvet overlay of big brown/burgandy/whiteish flowers & the hem starts right above my left knee and then tapers down to mid-calf on my right leg. it's cool & funky. i like. i decided late last night that i didn't like any of my own dresses.
my new shoes only caused minor rubbing, not blisters. we'll see how they do square dancing. hmm. at least they're really cute :) i'd send pictures of that, too, if my camera worked. maybe it'll miraculously fix itself before the square dance!! i hope so!
