Haven't carved my pumpkin yet. Should do it tonight, tho I have to work late. Hopefully won't be too late! I've been falling asleep really early lately. But it works well. Woke up at 6:45 a.m. today on my own- no alarm or dog. Figured since I was awake, I would go check on Ann's cat, since I don't have a car during the rest of the day.
Ann's on her honeymoon, so I'm in charge of Joey, her huuuge furry gray kitty with the pretty green eyes. He's much more, uh, social than Mozart is. He comes running when I come in the door. He tries to rub up against my leg, but really just slams himself against my calf. He's not especially dainty. I hung out for awhile & left the door open so he could look out the screen door. He liked that. It was nice & cool this morning. I even wore a jacket.
Went running with Brody when I got home. We jogged yesterday & it was fun. It's cool enough that we don't die from heat. We both tend to tire out at about the same point, so that's good. We did well yesterday, but today the running wasn't quite so novel, and he would stop to sniff, mark or bark every 5 seconds. Hard to maintain a good jogging pace! Silly boy.
Mom will be here in a week! And then Uncle Larry! And then Lindy & Carolyn! Then we get to go to Yuma and see Gramma & Vern! Then Rachel will be there! Yay! :) Should be fun...
Brody has to get groomed before then. And I think I'm gonna get a haircut tomorrow. But I bet I don't get a bandana or a teeth cleaning with mine. Hmph.
I'm working late tomorrow night, and, well, most of the Halloween candy is gone anyway (thanks, Chris! haha), so unless Jim is feeling spirited, probably no trick-or-treating at our house tomorrow night. I'll have to light my jack-o-lantern for myself for a couple minutes when i get home :) ooooh ahhhhh
