There was a power-tool sale at Sears today, and it was very fun. Not that power tools make me giddy- except for one: The chain saw. Do you know why? Because, now that we are the proud owners of a shiny new chain saw (as opposed to our dirty old nonfunctiong chain saw), it means: We get to go cut down our own Christmas tree this year!!

We had a great time in Idaho for Thanksgiving, and saw lots of family & friends & dogs. Got to run the Green Belt, do some bowling, shop downtown boise, bar hop downtown boise, have two fabulous thanksgiving dinners, eat Harrison Hollow fries. Mmmm. It took us 10 hours to drive home Sunday, instead of the normal 7, because of snow on the mountains. Ick. But we made it.

We were planning to go back for Christmas if Grandma still would be in Idaho, but her doctor gave her the OK to head down to Arizona (yay for her!). So I think we'll avoid the drive & do Christmas at our house this year- our first Christmas in the house! & with our own tree! Come one, come all! :-)

It snowed here! So much(ish) that they closed schools yesterday. There wasn't much at our house, but it was still wonderful.
